National Pro-Life Groups Applaud HHS Secretary Alex Azar, Trump Administration Following Recent Comments

The Justice Foundation President Allan Parker and Cynthia Collins, global consultant for Operation Outcry — a movement of women injured by abortion — released the following joint statement following the Trump Administration’s recent comments at the Blair House:

“We thank and applaud Secretary Alex Azar and President Trump for the administration’s comments at the Blair House on January 16. In a speech before a coalition of health leaders from 35 countries, Secretary Azar commented that ‘there is no international human right to abortion’ but that ‘there is an international right to life.’ He then went on to further reject the ‘constant drumbeat’ from organizations like the World Health Organization about ‘reproductive rights’ which he defined as ‘unfettered access to abortion.’ The Secretary is absolutely correct.

The fact is that abortion is a crime against humanity, which should be and ultimately will be illegal in every nation. Abortion deeply injures women and has been made obsolete in the United States by Safe Haven laws which ensure that no mother has to take care of an unwanted child. This is why later this week we will join hundreds of thousands of other Americans and March for Life. For the same reason, The Justice Foundation has filed three different briefs with the United States Supreme Court in June Medical Services LLC v. Gee, the Louisana Unsafe Abortion Protection Act case to be heard on March 4 of this year.”
