Pro-life leaders Cynthia Collins, Molly White and Allan Parker released the following statement following the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals decision:

“The idea that Planned Parenthood and other abortion facilities are attempting to exploit the coronavirus crisis in order to stay open is absolutely deplorable. Their callous disregard of women’s health and the ‘infant lives’ in the womb and others could not be more obvious.

We applaud states such as Louisiana, Texas and Indiana that have ordered non-emergency medical procedures to be postponed during this government imposed “shelter in place,” and are heartened that the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals has upheld Texas’ enforcement action against abortion providers.

Instead of trying to save lives, abortionists have become coronavirus incubators and spreaders. This risks the lives of women and others who could become infected, while ignoring the Safe Haven laws in all fifty states. Safe Haven laws allow women to transfer their unwanted children to the state without any cost and without any legal responsibility.”
